How we pack and load a bike
- 1Protective wrapping. Tank, seat, mirrors, headlight and other exposed parts are covered so they do not get scratched or cracked.
- 2Secure positioning. The bike is placed upright or on its stand, in a spot on the vehicle where it will not touch other goods.
- 3Strapping. Straps hold the bike firmly in place so it does not move or fall during the journey.
- 4Careful unloading. At the destination, the bike is taken off the vehicle and placed where you want it.
Before the crew arrives
- Keep the fuel low. A small amount of petrol in the tank is enough. A full tank adds weight and can leak.
- Remove loose accessories. Take off phone holders, saddle bags, mirrors that are easy to detach and anything else that can come off.
- Photograph the bike. Take clear photos of all sides before pickup, so you have a record of its condition.
- Keep the papers with you. Carry the RC, insurance copy and your ID. Keep one set of keys with you and give one to the crew only if needed.
